Development

HubSpot website development.

A site marketing can ship without a deploy. A HubSpot website is only as good as the modules underneath it. Build them as one rich text field and every copy change becomes a developer ticket. Build them properly and the marketing team never files one.

The problem

Every change is a ticket.

The site launched beautifully. Now a product name has changed and it appears in eleven places, none of which a marketer can reach. Within a year the site is out of date because updating it is somebody else's job and that person is busy.

Beautiful at launch. Stale by March.

What we build

What a template from the marketplace will not do.

Modules with real fields

Typed fields, sensible defaults, repeaters with limits the layout survives, and help text a marketer can read. This is the difference between a site that stays current and one that does not.

A design system, not a page

Tokens for colour, type and spacing so the twentieth page looks like the first. Sites drift when every page is built by hand from scratch.

Performance as a requirement

Core Web Vitals treated as acceptance criteria rather than as something to look at later. Image handling, font loading and script order decided during the build.

Accessibility to WCAG 2.1 AA

Contrast, focus states, keyboard navigation, semantic structure and reduced-motion handling. Increasingly a procurement requirement as well as the right thing.

Multilingual where you need it

HubSpot language variants rather than duplicated templates, so a Spanish page is a variant of the English one and stays in step with it.

SEO built in, not bolted on

Semantic markup, structured data, canonical handling, a clean URL structure and a redirect strategy from day one.

How it runs

Engineers, working the way engineers work.

01

Scope in writing

What is being built, what it will not do, and how we will both know it is finished. Fixed scope where the work is knowable, a sprint rate where it is not.

02

Build in the open

Version control, a preview environment and a running demo, so you are not waiting until the end to find out what you are getting.

03

Review against the portal

Tested inside your actual portal with your actual content, at phone, tablet and desktop widths, before anybody calls it done.

04

Ship and document

Deployed, with the source handed over and a page explaining how to change it. You own what we build.

Where it usually goes wrong

The module that is one rich text field.

It is the fastest way to build a HubSpot site and the reason so many of them are abandoned. Every layout choice becomes markup pasted into an editor, the design drifts within weeks, and nobody can change anything safely. Field design is the whole job.

Frequently asked

What people ask before they commit.

Can you work from our existing design?

Yes. Figma, an existing site or a brand guide are all fine starting points. We can also design it, but if you have a design system we would rather build to it than replace it.

How long does a HubSpot website take?

Six to sixteen weeks for most marketing sites. Distinct template count drives it far more than page count, because pages are assembled from modules once the modules exist.

Will our team be able to build new pages?

That is the acceptance criterion. We hand over with a module library and a walkthrough, and the test is that a marketer builds a new page without calling us.

Do you handle the migration from our current site?

Yes, including the redirect map, which is the part that determines whether your rankings survive. We treat it as a deliverable rather than a checklist item.

Can you build on the HubSpot developer projects framework?

Yes. React modules, TypeScript, islands and serverless functions on the current platform version. This site is built that way, so you can see the output before you commit.

What about ongoing support?

Available as a retainer or ad hoc. Plenty of clients take the handover and run it themselves, which is the point of building it properly.
