The website platform is free, and nearly half of the web (42%) prefers it over the numerous other options. It's also one of the ones most tested well-enough by time: it came to light in 2003, meaning it's been around for close to 20 years. # **¿What Is Elementor?** One of the most high-end website-building platforms across the internet is found on **WordPress: Elementor**. It's wildly appealing to marketers, web professionals, and designers alike. Ever since it was launched five years ago, it's been meant for web design to be simplified for maximum creativity.  According to statistics, a new website is launched every 10 seconds, thanks to **Elementor**. There are free and premium options alike for this all-in-one web solution. The free version has 40 basic widgets and access to a drop-and-drag web builder. Elementor Pro, the paid version, is well worth it because the experience becomes fully customizable.  It comes in five premium modes: - Essential, which costs $49 per year - Advanced, which costs $99 per year - Expert, which costs $199 per year - Studio, which costs $499 per year - Agency, which costs $999 per year More widgets are unlocked, and there are visual forms as well as theme builders. It also comes with dynamic content fields, marketing integrations, motion effects, and the like. There's also reliable, professional support available. Basically, it elevates WordPress, which is already popular and known for being a user-friendly **CMS**. There is absolutely no coding required, making navigation ideal. Instead of struggling with code, people will be able to just have fun as they go about designing.  #### **What About the Competition?** Web designers everywhere know that there are a lot of **CMS** options at hand. Comparing and contrasting is always a good idea, so here's how they look compared to Elementor: - **Squarespace** - As the name suggests, the design is works in "square spaces" or blocks for varying elements to be dragged and dropped. Basic websites will do very well to make use of it. That said, there's quite a bit of bulk to it. Moreover, it doesn't really have options for customization, which means it's not user-friendly. - **Wix** - This builder is also drag and drop. People with "a bit" or "some" design experience will benefit from using this. More customization options compared to Squarespace are available here. **Elementor** has far more customization options than the two, and it's great for experienced designers. However, it's also able to support regular users very well, alongside multiple tutorials. There are also plenty of features and plugins that can be chosen from. **Conclusion** Elementor is a great tool for WordPress in that it elevates the free CMS to a new level. It comes in a free version as well as the paid one, which is Elementor Pro. The free version already has 40 basic widgets and access to a basic builder that's drag and drop.
